#InternationalWomen’sDay 2020 #EachforEqual
On Sunday 8 March, women and men around the world will come together to celebrate #InternationalWomensDay a day dedicated to championing women’s achievements and challenging gender bias. This is an annual global celebration of the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. We celebrate this progress while acknowledging that there is still a lot of work to be done if we are to achieve true gender equality.
The theme for 2020 is I am Generation Equality Realising Womens Rights An equal world is an enabled world making a positive difference to women everywhere. #EachforEqual

The proportion of women in any workforce is only one aspect of gender balance. The true benefits for individuals, business and economic are only achieved when all people are able to access fair opportunities, rewards and resources regardless of their gender.
It takes commitment to achieve the correct balance and many women around the globe are taking clear positive steps to close the gender pay gap and have clear objectives to ensure women are proportionately represented in management and executive roles, as well as our overall workforce.
Gender balance doesn’t only benefit women. True balance is achieved by giving everyone access to flexibility and leave to balance their working and caring roles.
To honour the day in 2019, women and men in the UK and around the globe are hosting a range of events championing womanhood ranging from gigs, panel discussion and exhibitions to feminist walks and much more inspiring people everywhere to make practical steps to making a positive difference for women.
